I put my face against the pillow, absorbing his scent, and pulled the blanket over my head. The bed was the most comfortable I had ever slept in. I lay in silence until my alarm went off, indicating it was time to get up and get ready for the day.

Reluctantly, I got out of bed, looked in the mirror, making sure I was halfway presentable. My hair was disheveled and knotted, my makeup visibly blurred. I washed my face quickly, tied up my hair, and walked down the stairs slowly.
