Amelia’s POV

After everything that has happened today, it felt great to be alive. I was naturally very tired after my ordeal, but hadn’t felt so at peace with myself in a long time, and I slept better than I had in years.

Everyone was behaving strangely around me at first, but I suppose that was only to be expected. It had taken a while to convince Leo to let go of my hand, as if he believed I’d die again if he didn’t hang on to me tight enough. Thankfully he had ahold of my left hand, since I needed my right one to eat with.
