Willa’s POV

I didn’t know true fear until today. As Orion leaped into the air, I held my breath fearing that if I let go, I would fall to the ground. It was an irrational thought but what other control did I have? Orion was acting like a whole other being; my sweet and gentle mate had become a possessive man with wings of fury.

“Orion!” I squealed as he continued to rise into the sky. From what I gathered, we were heading Northwest, away from the sea into a land I had never been to before. Orion looked down at me and smiled gently. All his fury had washed away and kissed me gently on the forehead.
