Her Forever (Book 4)- Chapter 62

Vulcan’s POV

Hades’ bones cracked, hair protruded from every pore. His screams turned into growls, groans, and grunts until finally, he howled louder than Ares in his wolf form. Black majestic fur flowed from his body, red eyes pierced us all. Each wary step that Hades’ took left burned paw prints into the wooden floors. Smoke steamed, and the more he walked, the hotter his paws became. Flickers of flames came from his claws while he salivated.

Hades had turned into a hell hound. Hell hounds were something else; I hadn’t seen them in many years living in the Underworld. They lived in packs at the furthest region from the palace. They were dangerous, brutal, and most of all, unforgiving. When provoked, they could set ablaze an entire forest. Hades created them as guards to protect his home, but he told us he had nothing to protect once Persephone was taken. If anyone dared to enter his palace, he would see to it himself to destroy all who enters.
