Her Forever – Chapter 49

It was that cliche’, ‘and the entire room went still,’ moment. Everything came to a halt as Gaia spoke those words of “my turn.” She meant every word, every single letter of the phrase. She was pissed. I never knew what anger was until she came into my life. I tried to see the good in others, which I still do. Gaia had another thought in her mind that brought me to light. This man and woman kept us from the one person who could calm us, protect us, give us unconditional love and affection. The man that was our forever, and I had sat back and watched as Drago kept me from him. Too afraid to move, to breathe, almost giving up.

Gaia was the spark I needed, the spark of the extra passion of the fight. Had I always loved Seth? Of course, I have, and there was no doubt about that. The one thing I realized I missed was the intensity, the drive, but most of all, the ability to physically fight my own battles. Maybe this is why I never had my wolf, to know the feeling of vulnerability. To know that the weak need the strong to protect them. I’ve felt weak the past few weeks, even though I had my studly strong mate, but I knew I was something more.

es, didn’t take life for granted. I was stronger, not just for myself, but for who I was going to become. I was going to help lead a community with Seth and now my parents’ kingdom. Keeping the compassion and love that I had for life was now only amplified by the sheer strength of a wolf that I had been blessed with.

e cracking of bones would have made me sick if I was still in human form. Gaia reveled in it. It fueled her fire when he screamed, and at the thought we would never see our mate again.
