It’s Love That Blinds Him – Chapter 98

The cold wind tickled Lucia as she and Lowell walked out of the bar. She shivered; she really hated the cold. But the cold wind helped to sober her up a little. Lucia wrapped her arms tightly around her body, then reached out and pulled her scarf higher over her mouth and nose.

Lowell frowned and took her hand. The coldness of his fingers worried him. The warmth of Lowell’s hand traveled over Lucia’s body, urging her to take an unconscious step toward him. Without a word, Lowell put his arms around her.

Lucia had no idea why she hadn’t pushed him away. Perhaps it was because of the alcohol she had consumed. Or because the cold was really making her uncomfortable right now. For some reason, she snuggled closer to him, trying to get warm. His head began to feel heavier and heavier, and his feet began to feel like they were floating on the ground. Was she really that light now when it came to drinking? She started to feel dizzy.
