Sasha POV

“Are you intrigued by me, Sasha?”

The silence in the room was deafening as Jasper leaned forward, causing me to instinctively press my back against the chair. I wanted to open my mouth to answer his silly question with one of my smart remarks, but when his pale blue eyes locked on mine, I just froze. My thoughts were racing inside my head, yet at the same time, my mind seemed to have gone blank. What was going on? Why wasn’t I pushing him away?
