The night with my mate was a bliss. It was so magical and enchanting it honestly seemed like some kind of dream. After we confessed our love to each other, I pretty much passed out in his arms. Whether it was because of my daze or the exhaustion from the intense experience, I had no memory of what happened afterwards. Needless to say, I was a little disoriented when I woke up on the bed, instead of on the rug where we made love.

As I took my first breath in the morning, a small groan escaped my lips. Werewolves usually healed quite fast, but being a wolf of lower ranking blood, it usually took longer for my body to be completely revitalized than it did for a Gamma or Beta – hence why I wasn’t surprised when I noticed I was still a little sore.
