The second I came down from my high, I was horrified to find my mate stiff underneath me. Her eyes were wide with fear, and her usually rosy skin was pale, as if she had just seen a ghost. She didn’t respond when I called her name, nor did she move when I pulled out of her. My heart was racing as I carefully wrapped her in my arms. Had I done something wrong? Did I hurt her somehow?
