After my mate left for warrior training in the morning, I decided to wait for him at the office. I usually stayed in bed until he came back, but I had a hard time going back to sleep because of all the drinking – not that I regretted it in any way. The previous night with Lance had been a bliss. In the middle of the chaos, it truly felt like a sweet dream. It was exactly what I needed to start my first day as the official Luna of Diamond Tempest Pack. Strangely enough, the leadership position didn’t frighten me as much anymore.

Once I made it to the office at the end of the hall, I took in the beautiful view of our lands through the huge glass windows before sitting at the desk to read one of the last books I had been assigned. Most of the content was truly interesting, and I was ready to put what I had learned to test in my daily activities. I had a feeling we would be expected to make more decisions on our own now that we had been bonded to our titles.
