My last night at home was also the best in my entire life. I had no idea the simple act of sleeping beside my mate could be so revitalizing; his body was softer than the mattress, and his heat kept me warm better than any blanket. My mother was still sleeping when I woke up, and Megan was busy with warrior training. So, in Lance’s company, we set off to work on the last thing I had to do before leaving in a few hours.
