Jack POV

Flare came to a stop and flopped down on the ground and Solar nipped him. Not ready to stop, both he and his wolf had thought, but Solar’s attention had been on a big male dear. Flare had snorted at him and gotten himself up. Hunt and kill it was. Then the two wolves were off stalking their prey, taking pleasure in the actual hunting and chasing of that dear around the pack, and then bringing it down. Both wolves pulled it down together and a quick kill was had. Then both their wolves ate parts of it, till they were full and content.

Flare stretched out and relaxed on the ground, his white fur red and bloodied. Not that he seemed to care at all. While Solar sat up on top of the actual dear itself and looked about, he was the Alpha wolf and was on full display right this moment. This was their escape, time alone together, without anyone around to bother them.
