She was walking the boys to the packhouse so that they could have dinner with their fathers. She had no choice but to do it herself, her mother was not here and they walked due to having no car. She was watching the storm clouds roll in and could hear the low rolls of thunder, and she was hoping it wouldn’t rain on their way there.
