The Alpha & Beta’s Regret – Chapter 77

Jack POV

Jack looked at his phone when it rang, smiled at seeing Addison blink on the screen. He didn’t get the chance to speak. Addison clearly had her own thoughts on how this should go. Maybe she had seen it done before, or been part of something like this. He didn’t know. But both he and Rafe took the time, she was just chatting casually with Titan to head upstairs to Luci’s room.

A place that was their own private sanctuary, it seemed, from what their own Mate’s had done to them and were likely still trying to do to them. A place those two she-wolves could not go, had no control over them in there. Somewhere they could write all they heard down as well.

ed. Most did just that, sate their needs with a willing partner, some requested permission for them to become Chosen Mates and if, after a year, they were still together and neither strayed to another lover. It was usually granted if they were in love with each other.

logised and been nice about it, explained it to her even. She’d not been happy but had accepted it and left to go back to her pack.

out. When I asked where they were going, I got yelled at for trailing them everywhere. They stalked back to the packhouse. I thought long and hard about where they were going, what was out where they were headed to. The only thing I could come up with was the pack hospital.”

must have investigated myself. I recall a small building with half a dozen beds only, but it is locked up tight, like a packhouse in lockdown at all times. It was after this that things started to get really weird. I believe I lost a whole day. I just have no memory of it at all. Kind of just woke up in the woods and did not recall how I got there…the last vivid memory I have is tracking the Luna and the Beta’s Mates out of the packhouse. Then, just the woods, I’m uncertain of what happened to me.” He huffed. “It was about 4am and then next thing I know its evening.” He sighed heavily.

Though I felt it was a no-go zone, an old woman lives there, from what I can gather, runs it. She could be the pack doctor, I suppose. Though I think it’s a front for something entirely different; I didn’t see it getting used as a hospital and no one comes and goes. Though piecing this together hurts a lot, memories of the hospital itself nearly kill me to think about.”
