\tThe moment I saw Blade join us, I was both relieved and petrified. If he never left, it meant that he heard the entire conversation, which also meant he heard me call him my mate. I hadn’t brought that idea up to him out of fear. I didn’t know if vampires had the equivalent of a mate, and I was afraid of scaring him away.
