I met Blade in the designated meetup spot outside of pack territory. Even though I couldn’t see him, he was already there when I arrived. I could feel his presence and smell his scent, and then there was a slight shift in the air when he moved towards me. Anyone not looking for it wouldn’t have noticed the difference. Vampires must have been known for their stealth.
“Are you ready?” Blade asked, stopping a few feet in front of me.
