I could feel all eyes on me, and it made me nervous. I tried to not let it show by keeping my face as still as possible, but it was hard being in a room full of werewolves who looked uneasy at the sight of me alone. I understood it. Just the idea of being around a werewolf made me uneasy normally. Our ancestors had been enemies for long before I was even born, and it wasn’t an easy idea to erase.

If it weren’t for Remy, I wasn’t sure if I would care at all about these werewolves being affected by Draven’s actions. I would have left this town and returned home to stop Draven at the source. Instead, I chose to hang around to make sure Remy was okay, and now I was having a hard time leaving her.
