The Blood Moon Twins – Chapter 92

I waited for Davina to return the next day, but she didn’t come in the morning like she normally did. My body was healing, albeit slower than I wanted it to. My bones creaked as I moved, and even walking was painful. I forced myself to pace the room, trying to get my legs to cooperate the way I wanted them to. I was running out of time to get back to Harper before her birthday, and it was making the frustrations build even more.

While waiting for Davina to bring food, company, and healing, I got bored. I tried to sense my wolf and willed my body to change form, but I was still too weak. Immediately when the transformation began, it fizzled out, leaving my body feeling more exhausted. Even my normally dulled wolf senses were non-existent. It made me realize the difference my wolf side actually made. I may not have been as strong of a werewolf as others, but I was still stronger than any human without those wolf senses. Well, I was when my body wasn’t broken.

All I knew was that I couldn’t go back to that room where the council tortured me. I couldn’t go back to them, because I wasn’t sure if I was strong enough to make it out a second time.

er, but the pain was more mild too. “Perhaps no one really gets a final say, but all we can do is try to be genuine, kind, and stand up for what we think is right. In the end, we may never know if we are doing the right thing, but I try not to worry about that. I just keep trying to do what I think is bes

looked completely different during the day. From what I could tell, it was an entire village, with rows of small cottages surrounding a large open area in the middle of it. There was life as we walked around the village, getting an idea of what Cain had built here. There were families and children. There was life and happiness.
