I tugged Lottie behind me as we exited the elevator and headed toward Rowan and Mila’s room. Apparently, they rented out the whole damn floor to themselves and filled a couple of the rooms up with guards.

I can’t blame Rowan for always being so protective over Mila, especially after everything that happened with Marcus..but honestly, this was pretty tame compared to what he would’ve done in the past. Before he probably would have locked her in the room with eight guards outside. Even last night at that amazingly fun dinner we had, he didn’t whisk her away after he learned what happened with Chloe. We actually sat down to resume eating..but then that stupidly handsome Alpha had to act all creepy and s**t.
