The autumn sun was warm and pleasant. It shone through the windows, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Lucia hadn’t moved since she entered the room. She just lay there lazily. The sunlight streaming in through the windows did not touch his body, but was scattered around the room in a delicate display. The comfortable, calm atmosphere combined with the heat made her even less inclined to get up.

“Lucia,” Kathryn called, poking her head into the room after a brief knock.

Lucia quickly twisted to sit up when she heard Catherine’s voice. She smiled at Catherine as the latter entered the room. Kathryn was unlike any other woman Lucia had ever met. She had a special feeling for her. And she loved him very much. Maybe it had something to do with his bright eyes and pure heart. Or maybe it was the gentle way the corners of her eyes crinkled when she smiled. She had an innocent look that always made Lucia jealous. Lucia had been a part of the company for so long now that she was sure she had lost that spark.
